Frequently Asked Questions
-
There is no cost to the community to host a Pearl & Thread shopping event. We bring the boutique, clothing, displays, shopping bags, and checkout — your team simply provides the space and helps let residents know about the event.
-
The entire experience typically takes 2–3 hours from setup to tear-down. We request approximately 30–45 minutes for setup, followed by 1–1.5 hours of shopping, and approximately 30 minutes for tear-down.
We work with your team to choose a shopping time that fits naturally into your community's activity schedule.
-
We don't require a large space. A common area, activity room, or other open space where residents can comfortably browse is usually all we need.
We'll work with your team ahead of time to determine the best setup for your community.
-
We aim to offer a variety of sizes and styles so residents with different body types and preferences can find something they love.
Our inventory is thoughtfully curated and will continue to grow based on the needs and requests of the communities we visit.

Yes! Pearl & Thread offers clothing and accessories for both women and men.
Our selection may vary from event to event based on inventory and the needs of each community. If your residents are primarily looking for men's clothing, let us know ahead of time so we can curate our selection accordingly.
-
Our selection focuses on comfortable, stylish, and easy-to-wear pieces for everyday life.
You may find tops, blouses, sweaters, cardigans, dresses, pull-on pants, lightweight jackets, and seasonal pieces, along with accessories such as jewelry, scarves, handbags, and brand-new socks.
Because of our background in senior living and memory care, we pay special attention to pieces that are comfortable and practical while still making residents feel confident and stylish.
-
We encourage residents to try on pieces whenever a suitable private space is available within the community.
If your community has a designated changing area, we'll work with your team to incorporate it into the shopping experience. For communities without one, we can discuss alternative options ahead of the event.
-
We accept major credit and debit cards and cash. We aim to make checkout as simple and accessible as possible for residents.
